Our u9s reds had a fantastic evening at the 3v3 UK Sheffield Football tournament!
We took 2 teams with our boys finishing 1st & 2nd in the group stage, which meant a final against each other!
A tense final with the boys in yellow coming out winners, they will now go onto play in the 3v3 National finals at Englands St George’s park 🏆🏆

Jakoby was voted players and supporters player of the year, Ksawery won top scorer, Biny was managers player of the year and Dougie won most improved player! Well done to Josh and Kai from our U13 team for getting Man of the Match in their game today!

Josh worked super hard all game and got involved in a lot of good play. On another day would probably have got 2/3 goals rather than just the 1.

Kai came onto the right wing in the second half and he was nearly rewarded with his first goal for the team. His curled effort only inches wide but it was his reaction to the coaches instructions that got him the mom today. He was told to get back and help defensively and he sprinted back. There were other occasions too and it was that desire to listen and react which earned him the mom 👏👏

Our U7 reds played their second ever friendly game today.
Well done to LJ and Lucas for getting Man of the Match 👏👏

LJ gave an unbelievable performance today. He was involved in everything. Making tackles, assists, goals and he had to battle hard all game. He is obviously made of some strong stuff as well as he faced a relentless barrage of tackles all game.
At times he was battling against 2 opponents but didn’t let it bother him.

Lucas really came out of his shell today and deserved a couple of goals for his hard work. His tackling and pressing was really good all game and he was making some really good passes like we’ve been practicing recently. Thought he really came out of his shell this weekend.

Friendly 4 done today for our U13 blacks vs Maden

Friendly 4 done today for our U13 blacks vs Maden Vale on the 3G at Park academy. The game started quickly with Maden getting the early chances winning a penalty early on for Dexter to make the save.
A game where midfield was a key battle with both teams trying to gain control. Maden took the lead in the middle of the 1st half.

2nd half saw some changes to the Blades set up reverting to a 4-2-3-1 formation the boys drew level through Alfie. A tough game started to take it’s tole with lack of subs not helping. Maden pulled 1 in front to make it 1-2 and the game ended this way. Another hard game with a few players missing but minutes in the legs gelling new lads in the team.

Our u7 Reds played their first ever friendly against Rotherham Town his afternoon. The boys played really well and it was a great game to watch. Of course because it’s Euro final day they had to end the game with a fun penalty shoot out! Well done to Freddie and Jenson who got the man of the match awards.

Jake- second half performance today was top notch. Jake always brings lots of energy and bite when he plays but today his second half performance really helped us seize control of the game.

The U7s whites team played in today’s tournament

The U7s whites team played in today’s tournament at Ecclesfield Spartans and Ended up winning the Europa Cup!

After a sluggish first game the boys got into gear and started playing some nice football. They were unlucky not to top their group after a dubious decision for a penalty ended up in one of the games being a draw but they won their last game comfortably and were now in a good rhythm.

The boys stuck to it and carried on and when in the knock out stages they managed to get to the final and finish 3-1 winners!

This is the first tournament win for this new established team who have been brilliant and continue to develop really well 🏆

Two of our U9 Junior blades teams were invited to

Two of our U9 Junior blades teams were invited to take part in a tournament organised by Sheffield United football club last night.

The tournament took place at SUFC Academy and involved 8 teams. Our Junior Blades teams and 6 private academies .

Both teams put on a great show with our Reds going through second in the initial group stages and then finishing joint 2nd overall. Well done to SG Pathway who were overall winners.

Our Whites started slowly but improved throughout the tournament and ended up Europa League winners after winning their league in stage two of the tournament 🏆

Fantastic effort from both teams and coaching staff and big thank you to SUFC for hosting such a fantastic event.

Our new U7 teams are looking forward to taking part on Tuesday in another similar event being held by SUFC.

A sunny Sunday saw Junior Blades U13 Blacks travel

A sunny Sunday saw Junior Blades U13 Blacks travel to Highgreen in a losing effort in their 1st preseason friendly. The game started brightly for Junior Blades as they had the 1st chance of the game. An overload on the left nearly resulted in an early lead if it wasn’t for a good block by one of their defenders. Not long after, High Green took the lead. A ball over the top found it’s way into the bottom left corner. The equaliser came soon after when Jack scored a beautiful free kick over the outstretched keepers hands. The next 15 minutes was a good end to end game before High Green retook the lead when a clever chipped cross was tapped in at the back post. A 3rd followed soon after from the penalty spot.
The keeper Dexter went the right way but couldn’t get enough of a hand on it to stop it.

Half Time 3-1.

The 1st 20 minutes of the 2nd half saw Blades create 3 or 4 really good chances. Ted had 2 shots well saved by the keeper, and Ethan narrowly missed the target from long range. With 10/15 minutes to play, Blades energy levels had dropped and with a few additional substitutions, High Green added a 4th and 5th. Disappointing result losing 5-1 but an encouraging performance from our U13 Blacks. On to the next.🔴⚪️🔴⚽️

Our U9 Whites and Reds met in the semi final of the LJS cup today! They were a credit to the club, two high level quality teams. It was a tight game which could have gone either way with both goal keepers making some great saves. The whites were the eventual winners, winning 1-0.

Total respect from players,coaches and parents best of friends off the pitch enemies on the pitch.

The Whites unfortunately lost in the final 1-0 only goal they let in all day 👏👏

What a player and what an amazing young girl you’ve been. From the first time we met at my nephews birthday party I said you are going play for Sheffield United academy and England and we are half way there.

Despite the odds and with such a new team only playing twice together prior the Junior Blades U8 Blacks have won the Junior Blades Cup last weekend!!

They started the tournament with a win and ended the day unbeaten with 2 amazing penalty shootouts in the semi final and final game.

Stocksbridge Red 0-4 SUJB U12 Red

Both started well really going at each other SUJB found the breakthrough with the opposition keeper pulling off a good save but the rebound fell to an attacker to slot home and take the lead.
SUJB continued to push stocksbridge into their own half and an excellent pass from the right through 2 defenders was pounched on and put into the bottom corner to make it 2-0 before the break.

The 2nd half was much the same SUJB controlling much of the game in all areas of the pitch, we added a further 2 well taken goals to see out the win and a very well deserved clean sheet 👏

SUJB Red U12s have taken very well to the club and playing regularly on 3G pitches, we have bonded quickly with the new signings and a new style of play every player has contributed to this fantastic start and long may it continue.

Our U8 Reds attended the Brinsworth tournament this morning and it was an all day affair with all weathers however the boys played some impeccable football in their group stages accumulating 17 goals overall. They made it to the quarter finals and played their socks off, absolutely dominating the ball, they just couldn’t get the goals! What a lovely day prepping for the season coming ⚽️❤️
